About
Freewheel Movement was born out of Freewheel Limited, a pop-up roller skating experience created to bring the joy of skating back to Boulder County. What started as community skate events quickly grew into something bigger, a realization that skating isn’t just fun, it’s powerful.
Today, Freewheel Movement is focused on getting roller skates into schools and into the lives of kids across our community. Through our in-school programs, we teach students the basics of roller skating while building confidence, resilience, and a sense of connection. For many students, it’s their first time on skates, and watching them go from unsure to flying across the gym is where the magic happens.
We’ve already introduced thousands of students to skating, and we’re just getting started.
Our long-term vision is to bring a permanent roller skating rink back to Longmont: a space where community, movement, music, and joy come together. A place for kids, families, and adults to gather, celebrate, and create something positive together.
Freewheel Movement exists to build that future: one student, one skate, and one shared experience at a time.
